Trapiche is one of the giants of Argentinian wine—you’d be hard-pressed not to see them in your local store.
This rosé is a seasonal offering always awaited with great anticipation; pale yet sanguine fuchsia in colour, the undertone of purple is slight but discernible, thanks to the malbec grapes it is made from.
Floral and fruit notes dominate, with heavy raspberry, strawberry, and blackberry omnipresent.
With lively acidity and a tart finish that tastes heavily of strawberry and raspberry, one is surprised at the 4 g/L of sugar, which qualifies as extra-dry.
It’s hard to say enough good things about this wine—the price, the quality, the balance. Because of its high quality and low price, this is another official Hoochsavvy power performer!
